Gumachî Bavi

Gumachî Bavi (/guˈvɑmu/ /ˈbavi/ [complex] [fur; mane]) is a subtropical Town located in Mædârà Kàmæ Kingdom, Kahotivupunabu Empire, within the Warrenese Shogunate.

The name Gumachî Bavi is derived from the Wareneese language, as Gumachî Bavi was founded by Grîm Tsîrí, who was culturaly Wareneese.

Climate

Gumachî Bavi has a yearly average temperature of 20°C (68°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 29°C (84°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool 11°C (51°F). Overview

Gumachî Bavi was founded durring the late 11th century, by Grîm Tsîrí. The establishment of Gumachî Bavi suffered from many setbacks, delays, and obsticles, most notably a group of Gumachî Bavi which required millitary assistance exterminate before the community could finish being built.

Gumachî Bavi was built using the conventions of Wareneese durring the late 11th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Gumachî Bavi is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature delicute timber framework hidden behind layer upon layer of finly ground plaster bleached to an almost glossy white sheen, with green clay tiled roofs and decorative brass-leafed trim. Even the smallest, poorest looking structures appear to be expencive thanks to the extreem elegence of the organic shapes and paterns going into their lofty, spire-y, vagly gothic designs. The more well off folks live in identicle homes, save for even shiner trim and a more whimsical appearance to their structures flowing forms.

Gumachî Bavi is buildings are arranged arrounded highly ordered system of crampt gravel streets which form octogonal paterns, allowing the incides of the octagons to be common grounds for the buildings on the edges, be it for parkland, yardspace, plazas, or markets. The town sits comfortably behind a palisade wall complete with a timber gatehouse and battlments. The town's timber-based walls are visibly old, but also obviously maintained semi-regularly. Its likly the local malishia or garrison are tasked with ocasional mantance of the towns defences.

A look around Gumachî Bavi makes it abundantly clear the town suffered something horrible some time ago. It's as if the town itself is depressed. Smiles are few, cheer is nowhere to be had. Everyone quietly goes about their daily business not looking anyone in the eye.

Gumachî Bavi possesses an older civil lighting system consisting of street lamps. These lights provide nighttime illumination to most city streets.

Gumachî Bavi has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

Gumachî Bavi has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

Gumachî Bavi's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used embraces individualism and experimentation. It emerged as a movement against traditional, classical styles and sought to make buildings dynamic and fun while breaking the rules. The style incorporated elements of previous architectural styles in exaggerated and whimsical ways. Traditional, conservative leanings were void in this era, with most scholars of architecture agreeing it was a time of “anything goes.”.

In Gumachî Bavi there is always just enough rain to be annoying.

The Jack-o'-Lantern near Gumachî Bavi are known to be quite timid.

Gumachî Bavi's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in winter and involves destroying a prepared ritual vessel to channel Invocation energies of tier 1 via proclamations.
